A default program is the program that Windows uses when you open a particular type of file, such as a music file, an image, or a webpage. If you want to change Print Screen to default in JPG Format, refer these steps.
a) Open up Default Programs by pressing Windows central + Q , and then typing Default Programs.
b) Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
c) Click the file type or protocol that you lot want the plan to human action as the default for (JPEG).
d) Click Modify program.
e) Click the program that you desire to use as the default for the file type y'all selected, or click the arrow next to Other Programs to show boosted programs. (select photos option)
f) Click OK.

Hi,
You tin can save a screenshot directly as a .jpeg file in the Snipping tool. You tin exercise that past post-obit these steps:
-
Press File.
-
Select Save As....
-
Choose a File name.
-
Select the driblet-down too Save as type.
-
Select JPEG file.
-
Printing Save.

Snipping tool isn't available on Windows ten Mobile. The previous answer was also for desktop version of Win ten. How do you alter the file type screenshots are saved every bit for Windows 10 MOBILE as JPG should be default.

I take just discovered that if y'all download to your Windows 10 phone the app "Adobe Photoshop Limited", which is costless, then open up a screenshot picture, and so salve it, information technology will exist saved to your camera ringlet folder equally a jpeg. Photoshop Express doesn't tell you it has changed the file format, only that is what it has just done with a screenshot of mine on a Windows ten phone. If I have got this wrong in some way please tell me.

Thanks, i have found as well that if you have a screenshot, open information technology with paint, and then y'all can save the file straight by going to salve equally in the file carte du jour, and so you can save as either -
.PNG
.JPEG
.BMP
.GIF
and some other formats
which seems easier than i offset idea.
